So I replied, "Thank you mommy, so where's my present?"
And her reply was:
Sadded! -.-"'
Statrted my day with Brunch at Lunch time with bf at Sembawang Hill Food Centre. GM and YL came awhile later, after replenishing our fuel, we went home and prepared for our outing. Initially we had no idea where to go or what to do.
Until someone suggested Farms. And off we went to the farms....
First stop, Qian Hu Fish Farms.
The kids catching "Long Kao" Fish..
They not only sell fish, they sell crabs too. And Lobster and shrimps (no piccies though)
The goldfishes (these are much bigger) my ah-ma use to have, they are expensive man $288/ fish
Err some breed of Koi, they looked graceful to me just like dancers.
Stingrays!! Expansive price rangingin from S$600-900.
A super expensive fish costing $6888. Forgot the breed though, its called something like Red-violet Arowana I think.
Sliver Arowana.
We spent an hour looking at fishes, we wanted to try fish spa initially, but there were too many people in the spa area hence we decided to come another day.
Then we decided to go to Hay's dairy farm. When we reached there it was already closed. So we went to the Dragon Fruit Farm beside it.
YL (my lower sec classmate) and GM
Bf and me <3
The old classmate.
We saw this and was curious. GM said its a trap to attract ants or what-not. The cotton swab on top has been dipped in some sugar syrup and the smell will attract them and its some water below to drown them.
Pretty pretty! I asked the owner and she said its Hoya flower. It will bear some Gourd. But wikipedia says Hoya is a ornament plant.
Grapes! So beautiful. =D
Bitter Gourd!
Baby Dragon Fruit!
Passion Fruit Flowers. I didn't know we can plant passion fruits in Singapore
Some crawlies I saw. I was really behaving like a mountain tortoise. But its another way round. Urban Kid fascinated by Mother Earth.
Initially we wanted to continue our Farm tour and head towards the Bird farm. But KS called and asked if we wanted to catch a movie together. Hence we headed back for a shower before meeting them.
On our way to having dinner, they called and told us that the tickets were sold out. So we were on our own again.
After dinner at Longhouse, we drove around town and decided to chill at Timbre. It was a fantastic place. The ambience was great, drinks are cheap and there was a live band singing. What else can we asked for?
Bf's Erdinger and my Lychee Champagne
Gm's having Erdinger as well and YL's having Heineken
Me and Bf <3
My 2nd drink, Strawberry Margarita. BF continued with another pint of Erdinger, GM as well (he had 3 in total) and YL jus had one Heineken.
Wild mushrooms parasite-ing on the tree next to our table.
The Band, we were a tad too far to take a clear picture. But the distance were conducive for our chit-chats. ^-^
The graffiti outside Timbre.
p/s: Bangkok post out next. =)
