I went to the PC show held at SC's convention hall, with the intention of getting an external hard drive. Of course I got it in the end, was accompanied by nana, ningning and jojo. Jojo tagged along even though she'll get bad headaches from the crowd. thanks jojo-love.
I'm a totally IT-nerd. I heard from lala that WD's hard drive doesn't work well with mac and I totally freak out. I tried goggling it but I totally got nothing out of it. So I had to ask someone. And seriously I turn to my ex for every single IT queries I have, but since he is a thing of the past, I have to find someone else to ask. Who else but Joel? haha
He must be pretty irritated by all my requests. but then again I dun think so la. haha. He check all the hard drive facts for me and told me loads of stuff which embarassing-ly I do not know. I mistook firewire for firewall. and still ask why does hard drive have firewall, isn't it for internet or something? haha.
He called me IT-blur girl but reassures me that he'll assist me with all my queries (penning it down in case someday he got mad and find me irritating, at least got proof!!)!!
In the end, I asked the WD guy so much stuff that I think he must be feeling.. "girls!" haha.
Anyways, I bought this portable external hard drive which is white in color (same finishing as my macbook) and it isn't compatible with mac's os. I had to reformat it. I bought it purely because of aesthetic reasons, there are some that are readily for mac, but really ugly -.- so I asked the guy loads of questions and realise I could format the hard drive myself!! so I did it!! I so proud I manage to format it all by myself, not really actually la because its all in wd's webbie and the instrustions came with screenshots. How to get it wrong man?
