Universal Studios Singapore- USS

On 26th May 2010, Wednesday, I treated baby-bro-Gabu to have some fun at USS. Because he briefly mention he wanted to go USS before and I thought since he is entering NS, I should "bring" him there!! So I got tix from a classmate whose working in USS.

I was pretty excited despite knowing that Battlestar Galactica™ is not up yet. Its been a long while since I did any touristy stuff in SG!!

We departed our home at 9.10am, the park opens at 10am!! Kiasu man!! Anyways, we drove there but didn't pay parking because the same friend's mom is Gold member of Resorts world, so saved another $19. haha.

Prior to Wednesday I kept hoping/wishing that it wouldn't rain! Seems like my worries were unfounded, not a single cloud was above us that day! Super sunny!!!!!

We managed to take all the rides, the waiting time for all our rides are like 5mins including the famous Jurassic Park ride and Revenge of the Mummy (except kiddy rides like merry-go-round, the kind of ride where u can control up or down but still goes in circle kind, that kind la), watched all the shows (except sing-along-with-donkey show) and go round the park twice (yeah the park's pretty small, one day confirm can finish not like other countries)!!!

There are 6 major "areas" in the park, the first "area" is just a stretch of shops (all theme parks sell merchandise at the entrance-cum-exit) and its called Hollywood. The other 5 major "areas" have attractions and rides and they surround a pond/just a body of water. The are namely Madagascar™, Far Far Away™, The Lost World™, Ancient Egypt, Sci-Fi City™ and New York (in order if you start from your right after existing Hollywood).

Our View from our seat!! We did watch the Monster Rock™ Show across, and its awesome! All the performance vocal power are so solid!! and Vampire is so cute!!!

The show- WaterWorld™ is damn awesome la!! watch before in US and Osaka but it still never fail to surprise and made me giggle. thumbs up max!

Gab says it looks like I'm in some vintage American Movie. Dancing in the Rain he said, not even sure if there is such a movie la.

Just googled and there's a Singing in the Rain though. Not a fan of old shows!! Always feel that as technology improves, movies/shows get better with effects/shooting techniques so old shows not worth watching. Just my opinion, I know some people love old shows.

That's the end of my super fun Wednesday!!! Went to school after that and almost died!! haha.
