7 days of S.korea in a post ^^

My family and I embarked on a trip to South Korea on 19 April '10 to 26 April '10. Though we visited S.Korea before but its like 12-13 years ago.

We were supposed to be visiting Italy instead, but the tour we booked wasn't filled so its a no-go. Thank goodness for that, if its scheduled to leave, we wouldn't make it there either. Because of the Iceland volcano eruption that happened 2-3 days prior to us leaving. ^^

Although its heartwarming and fun to travel as a family, but because we under estimate the weather there (especially me! I brought shorts leh, thinking its spring) we fell ill! D= But its still fun nonetheless!!!

Enjoy the piccies!!! I took like 2 days to post it all up!! =D

- DAY 1 (19 April '10) -

In Changi Airport Terminal 2 waiting to boar the plane!! I wore sunglasses cos I'm without cosmetic! Gab just wore it cos I am wearing it!

A few hours later and....

- DAY 2 (20 April '10) -

Yayness!! In Seoul!!

Visited the Ice gallery next. A gallery that holds ice-carving, the temperature is -5 degC and its chio la.

To you! ^^

Its suppose to represent Manhattan. I feel la, because of all the buildings. At least that's the impression it has given me.

The back alley of the Ice gallery.

We went on (still under the premises of Ice gallery) to carve a mug/cup/glass (a container that holds drink!) out of a block of ice! daddy finished first and he took piccies for us! that's our master piece!!! ^^

Gab's and mine!

After ice-carving, we visited some palace in the past, touristy attraction presently. Those guys who wear the traditional costumes are actually guards!

Daddy damn funny! we said the flowers too high up cannot take it near then he immediately hugged onto the tree and said, see so easy!

I tried but I wasn't tall enough! Daddy carried me, tt's why I'm grinning so widely! haha, I'm still daddy's little girl!

Love sakura!!! ^^

This stretch of road has got loads of sakura!! all along the street! damn chio! (different venue from above)

The man behind Gab's smiling, he must have know that he will be in the picture.

Took the afternoon flight to Jeju Island and continue with the sightseeing..

World Automobile Jeju Museum! The museum shows the development of cars from the 1800s to modern day. there's like hundreds of antique cars in the museum! Really eye opener! The cars in the past are all so huge!! I asked daddy, how can they fit into the parking lots now?

Car car car...

Glass castle, everything's made of glass in this place!!

Jack and the bean-stalk's bean stalk that goes all the way up into the sky!

- DAY 3 (21 April 2010) -

We took a jet boat in the morning, the driver could make the boat turn 360 deg (didn't had any piccie of it). And its fun!!! daddy's and gab's face is all wet!!

The place we took the jet boat.

Superwoman taking off!

At a field, of small yellow flowers. The tour guide told us its called 油菜花, so I'm guessing its canola flower.

Though he is really annoying at times, but I do love him. =D

Visited the tangerine plantation! The tangerine u see in the pic are fake!! Its not season yet, thus the owner put some fakies for us (tourist) to take piccies

Daddy with 2 most important woman of his life ^^

wee ^^

Visited the Teddy Bear museum and they are really adorable!!!!!

From top left (clockwise): Marilyn Monroe, Mona Lisa, Michael Jordan (look at his signature tongue) and the thinker!

World's most expensive Teddy bear, decked in LV and have black diamonds for eyes

World's smallest Teddy Bear! under the magnifying glass.

Look at them, they are so cute!!!

Had dinner afterwhich, its sashimi dinner! Mommy didn't had much though. she's not a fan of raw fishes!!

Some sashimi which is major yums!

Sea urchin!!

- DAY 4 (22 April '10) -

Wee I'm in Everland! Look at the roller coaster behind me! Nope, I didn't take it. Not cos I'm a chicken but cos the queue's long and I'm sick, so I didn wanna aggravate my condition by putting myself under the rough weather. Sounds like excuses, haha. But its true la, am quite a thrill-seeker.

Visited the safari (by bus), and we didn't queue for it. We went as a group and our tour guide secured a bus for us. Apparently the queue's over an hour. ^^ Lucky us

The rare offspring of a Tiger and a Lion! called a Liger if I'm not mistaken! Damn cute! But also damn wrong la, like 2 different species of animal mating, the comforting thought is that they belong to the same family (cat).

Aww, just looking at the flowers make me want to fall in love..

Handsome couple!! But daddy took this pic reluctantly. haha.

Tulips in full bloom =)

Family bliss! =D

Giraffe with giraffe (one of my nickname tt's no longer in use)

On the cable car ^^

Ba-bye everland!

- DAY 5 (23 April '10) -

We went to ride an ATV vehicle in the morning and it was drizzling, thus its freaking cold! I ride till my hand hurts, its like stage 1 to frosting biting if there are 3 stages. Mommy said I ride as if I was racing! haha.

We donated 10k won for a tile. Its some charity to built something. We can draw/write on them.

We spent a night in a resort-kinda place. They have 2 clusters of resort in the premises.

One of the resort we stayed in, chio right?

The other "design" of the resort.

The pet-goat they reared. Dunno if the owner will eat it =x

The resort is situated in a valley.

Emo-eating-ice-cream by the stream, actually act one la. Not emo at all.

- DAY 6 (24 April '10) -

Had some hot spring session in the morning and headed for Seoul after.

This is the outside Spa Greenland

Jasmine among roses. ^^

Bought some strawberries along the road side.

Yummy strawberries on the bus

A bench that takes after a shape of open book! Damn cool!

After lunch, we went to a kimchi selling place to experience kimchi making.

After kimchi-marinating we donned a hanbok, which is a traditional korean outfit.

My lovely family ^^

Acting all demure.. =D

Just can't help it! (^^)v

After that was Dongdaemun Market for some shopping. Didn't take piccies there though.

- DAY 7 (25 April '10) -

The gentle dog we saw at the breakfast place =)

Proceeded to some touristy shops tt sells Ginseng in the morning, then headed for major shopping in Sinchon Ladies Street and finally Myeungdong and watched Jump show at approximately 6pm. Thumbs up for the show!!!!!

Taken in one of the alley in Sinchon Ladies Street, the wall's being graffiti-ed in a very nice way. The bricks are drawn on, but it looks so real right?

Shiokado

With a poodle we saw. =) miss Ted much then!!!

After an hour spent in SInchon Ladies Street we proceeded to Myeungdong! Damn crowded, partially because its a Sunday!

Brought them to try Gim-dak, my favourite savouries in Seoul! Major yums!!

I forgot why is my daddy giving that sour face? oh I remembered, because they were about to dig in then I stopped them cos I wanted to take this picture! haha

Yummy!

After filling our tummies, we walked around in the very crowded place! =)

- DAY 8 (26 April '10) -

Only one pic! Caused I didn't make up!

Look at the frostings on the window. So chio.
